SUN-- The Manchester United boss has a long and bitter history with Benitez and was last month accused of refusing to shake the interim Blues manager's hand after an FA Cup quarter-final clash.
Fergie locks horns with his old adversary again at Old Trafford on Sunday.
And while he concedes April's Manager of the Month Benitez has done well to guide Chelsea to the Europa League final, he believes the Spaniard is in it for himself.
Ferguson said: “He is very concerned about his CV. He refers to it quite a lot.
“But you can’t dispute the fact he has done a good job in the last few weeks.
“The key to it is that the fans have settled down a little bit. They have left him alone. He has got on with managing his job.
“I can’t be easy, listening to pressure from the fans all the time.
“They have eased up. It has allowed him to relax and they have produced some good results.”
