David Haye to fight Manuel Charr at Manchester Arena in June

BBC: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has announced his next fight on 29 June will be against Manuel Charr at the Manchester Arena.
Haye, 32, has not fought since beating Dereck Chisora in the fifth round last July.

He hopes a strong showing against Lebanon-born Charr, 28, will help set up a world title fight with one of the Klitschko brothers.

The Briton also confirmed a "long-term" arrangement with promoter Eddie Hearn. Charr's only loss in his 23-bout professional career came in September 2012 when he challenged for Vitali Klitschko's WBC title - for which Haye has long expressed a desire to fight - and was controversially stopped in round four due to a cut.

Eighth in the WBC rankings, he is two places below Haye. Haye announced his retirement in October 2011 but reversed that decision to fight Chisora, then revealed in March that he would fight again.

He previously won the WBA belt by beating giant Russian Nikolay Valuev on points in Germany in November 2009. Vitali Klitschko's brother, Wladimir, the IBF, WBO and WBA champion, beat Haye in 2011.
